Remia was founded in 1925 and is the inventor of chipsauce, frying fat and liquid baking & braden. Originally Arie de Rooij started making margarine and butter in the barn of his house in Amersfoort. Remia then stands for De Rooij's Electric Melangeer Interior Amersfoort. Almost one hundred years after the foundation of Remia, the brand is known for quirky sauces and margarines.
