Pickwick Englisch Tea
Pickwick English tea is a full blown medium strong black tea. English tea is always black and thus relatively strongly oxidized and somewhat stronger in taste than for instance green tea. Besides the full-bodied English breakfast tea, which is designed to absorb milk and sugar, there's English afternoon tea, which is milder. When your fond of traditional black teas you should try Pickwick English tea, which belongs to the most aromatic and tasty teas on the market. Although the name sounds very British, Pickwick tea has Dutch origins. In fact the famous company Douwe Egberts has been making coffee and tea since 1753. The new brand name Pickwick was introduced in 1937 as a reminiscence to Charles Dicken's famous Novel The Pickwick Papers. The name was proposed by the wife of Johannes Hessels, who was managing director of Douwe Egberts in those days. Meanwhile the name Pickwick has become equivalent with high quality tea. Besides traditional English blends there are several flavored teas which have become increasingly popular over the last decades.
