Peijnenburg Gingerbread

Harry Peijnenburg, a baker from Geldrop, receives a licence for bread and cake in 1883. It was the start of a company that developed into a successful manufacturer of gingerbread, biscuits and snacks. Peijnenburg is the first with pre-cut biscuits (1960). The gingerbread is a popular snack, especially with a layer of butter on top.
