The delicious gelderse rookworst is a real classic in the Netherlands. Hearty, delicious and can be combined with many dishes, such as Stamppot Boerenkool or other delicious Dutch stews.

The large smoked sausage contains a whole 275 g and can be conveniently divided or quartered, for example.

Preparation of the Rookworst:

In the pot:

Remove outer packaging and heat smoked sausage in hot but not boiling water for about 20 minutes. You can also heat the smoked sausage directly as an ingredient, for example in pea soup.

In the microwave:

Heat at 600 watts both the inner and outer packaging and on a plate for about 2 minutes.
