A Hopje is a Dutch sweet to suck on with a pleasant light coffee flavour and a hint of caramel.

Rademakers Hopjes are part of a Dutch confectionery speciality made from sugar, cream, coffee and butter.

The popular coffee sweets from Holland have been traditional in the Netherlands since the 18th century and are still very popular today. One of the first manufacturers of the delicious Hopjes coffee sweets was J.P. Rademaker, after whom these sweets were named. As the confectioner Rademaker came from The Hague, the sweets were also often called Haagse Hopjes. All sweets are individually wrapped in paper.
