Supplies for Dutch Apple Pie:

- 300 g zelfreizend bakmeel 

- 200 g butter or margarine (room temperature)

- 160 g van Gilse caster sugar

- pinch of salt

- 1 Egg

- 1 kg. Sour apples (about 6pieces, f.e.. Goudreinet or elstar)

- 50 g sugar

- 75 g raisins 

– 2 to 3 TSP cinnamon

- 75 g raisins and 2 tbsp custard or breadcrumbs.


-Spring shape with a diameter of 24 cm-Mixer with dough hooks 

Oven temperature:

- electric oven: 180 degrees

- convection oven: 165 degrees

- gas oven: position 3-4 

Preparation time: approx. 40 minutes (excluding baking time) 

Preparation Dutch Apple Pie: 

1. now the raisins in tepid water (ca. 15 minutes) and pat dry.

2. Insert the grid just below the middle of the oven and preheat the oven.

3. grease the springform pan with butter or cooking spray use.

4. stir in the butter in a mixing bowl soft and add the caster sugar.

5. Zef the flour and add this together with the salt and 2/3 of the beaten egg.

6. knead with a mixer or by hand with deghaken to a cohesive dough. Let the dough rest in the fridge for about 10 minutes.

7. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut the apples into cubes in discs. Blot the moisture of the apples off.

8. mix the Apple cubes with sugar, cinnamon and raisins.

9. lined with 3/4 of the dough the bottom and the edge of the springform pan.

10. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons custard or bread crumbs over the bottom.

11. fill in the form with the Apple mixture and press this to.
